World Cup : Despite lose, Malaysia did well, say Najib


Although Malaysia did not make to the next stage for the world cup qualifier, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak was satisfied with the performance of the Harimau Malaya team.
Najib said the national team had given their best during the match against Singapore last night.
"It was tough for our team to break the defence of the opposing team.
"Our teams made few attempts to score but was halted by the Singapore team's defence.
"However, I am satisfied with our team's performance as they had given their best during the match,"Najib said after watching the game during a dinner with 3,000 civil servants in Kedah at Dewan Wawasan Jitra here.
Present were his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and several leaders from the Kedah Barisan Nasional leaders.
Najib said he hoped the national team would learn from their experience and improve their performance in the future.
It was game over for Malaysia after the match ended in tie of 1-1 against Singapore.
